About
Bear Valley Summer Day Camp is an 8-week public recreation program that takes place between June and August of each year. Campers aged between 3 to 16 years participate in activities that are designed to challenge, motivate, and educate.
Integrating the highly recognized Six Pillars of Character curriculum (Character Counts!), each week of camp has a character theme with stories, discussions, journal writing and activities based on that theme.
The themes of the Six Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, Citizenship. The BVPG, Inc. has included two additions: Self-Esteem and Conflict Resolution.
Bear Valley Summer Day Camp offers many outlets for outdoor physical play, growth, and skill including rock climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, archery, sailing and field games.
All activities require healthy bodies, attentive minds, and have rules and boundaries for safety.
Our mission is to provide children with the skills necessary to make healthy life choices.
